Flat Rate Imports – Shipping Cost Calculator & Import Platform
Flat Rate Imports is an import service platform designed to help customers in Ecuador purchase products from the United States and receive them through a simplified logistics process.
The main focus of the project was the design and development of an interactive shipping cost calculator that allows users to estimate the total cost of importing their products before placing an order. This tool helps customers understand the real cost of bringing items from the U.S. to Ecuador by calculating shipping costs based on factors such as product value, estimated weight, and import conditions.
The calculator acts as the core conversion tool of the platform. Instead of requiring customers to request quotes manually, users can instantly receive a cost estimate, making the process faster, more transparent, and easier to understand. This significantly improves the user experience and reduces friction in the purchasing process.
In addition to the calculator, the platform provides a product catalog, information about the import process, and guidance for customers who want to shop from U.S. stores and ship their purchases internationally.
